I am a 13 year resident of San Diego County, an avid surfer, artist and father. I believe in random acts of kindness and try to live my life in the services of others.

Why I decided to be a lawyer?
I decided to become an attorney because I wanted to help people and provide a service that is critically needed. While in college, I took a variety of courses and took a few Philosophy classes. After that I was hooked. I enjoyed the critical thinking and problem solving. A professor encouraged me to pursue my gifts and apply them beneficially for the public, thus beginning my journey into pre-law, and then law school. Once in law school, I was drawn to children’s issues, in part because my wife is a social worker and worked with children. Then, during my first semester of my second year, I lost my brother. He died without a will, and I got experience in the probate system firsthand. From there, I discovered that I could help children and families by insuring that they have well-written estate plans.
What makes a good lawyer?
I believe my compassion makes me a better lawyer and person. I married a social worker because of her large heart, and she has just amplified my desire to help families protect their children and their spouses. My children have taught me patience, determination, love, and compassion through their eyes. It is the innocence’s of our children that have inspired me to strive harder in life. Additionally, I believe dealing with my brother’s estate has given me a unique perspective of the probate system, and how to help my clients avoid the same situation.
